Why am I not receiving notifications?

Please check the following: 1) Notifications are enabled in iOS Settings > Earthquake Alert. 2) At least one location is saved with notifications enabled. 3) Your magnitude threshold isn't set too high. 4) Your device has an internet connection.

How quickly will I receive alerts?

Our system monitors USGS data continuously. Once an earthquake is detected and reported by USGS, you'll typically receive a notification within seconds if it matches your criteria.

Where does the earthquake data come from?

All earthquake data is sourced from the United States Geological Survey (USGS), a trusted scientific agency that monitors seismic activity worldwide.

How many locations can I monitor?

You can save and monitor up to 10 different locations. Each location can have its own magnitude threshold and radius settings.

What do the marker colors on the map mean?

Green = Minor (0-3M), Yellow = Light/Moderate (3-5M), Orange = Moderate/Strong (5-7M), Red = Major (7+M). The size of the marker also increases with magnitude.

Does the app work offline?

The app requires an internet connection to receive earthquake data and push notifications. However, your saved locations and recent earthquake history are cached for offline viewing.

How do I change the app language?

The app automatically uses your device's language setting. To change it, go to iOS Settings > General > Language & Region and set your preferred language.

Is my location data private?

Yes. We only use your location data to calculate earthquake distances and send relevant alerts. We never sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for details.
